Why drinks tip on a concert lawn

A small footprint leaves little room to lean

A drink tips when its center of mass moves beyond the supporting footprint. A narrow can base leaves less room for movement than a broader footprint. The surface, drink shape, fill level, and direction of a disturbance all affect the result.

A blanket follows the ground beneath it

Grass, uneven soil, and folds in a blanket can leave part of a drink holder unsupported. Nearby movement can also move the fabric. Choose a reasonably even spot, smooth the blanket, and check that the entire Steadi base rests on the surface.

What Steadi changes

The flexible parts are the fins. The base does not level the ground or conform to a hillside. Steadi helps resist tipping; it cannot prevent every spill, anchor a drink, or protect it from every passing foot.

The homepage shows real couch-cushion footage and a separate kitchen-counter fit demonstration. Those clips show the product in their actual settings. They do not establish performance on grass, a sloped lawn, or every blanket. The concert lifestyle scenes are AI-generated illustrations.

Check the drink and the venue separately

Fit depends on the drink’s base, not its stated capacity: 2–3 inches wide, with a snug fit up to 3.15 inches. Low handles and stems can interfere. Thin-walled concession cups need testing with the exact cup, including insertion, removal, fin pressure, and realistic fill levels.

Venue and event rules can treat accessories and drink containers differently. Being freestanding does not guarantee entry, and a pictured can or cup does not mean outside drinks are allowed. Check your show’s current official rules before packing.
